rma takes as input a .out file produced by the quadric_diffusion program. For each of the input models, the parameters for fits to the isotropic, axially symmetric and anistropic models are printed. Following the last model, the parameters from each type of analysis for each model, along with the average and standard deviation for each parameter, are printed.
Although the output from rma is only about 10% of the size of that from quadric_diffusion, it is still about 500 lines for the analysis of 20 structures. With that in mind, it is recommended that the output be redirected to a file as is indicated in the optional part of the usage statement (the part within square brackets).
In the parameter summary section of the output, where a parameter is printed as num1 +/- num2, num1 and num2 are simply the average and standard deviation of the values of the parameter from the n structures. The value of num2 is not the estimated error in the parameter since no attempt was made to propagate the esimated errors from the individual structures into the value of num2.
